Question:
What is referred to as ‘we yeild to God through Death’ in the teaching?
Answer:
Death here refers to our daily living by the CROSS OF CHRIST.
Luke 9:23,
‘And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.’
It talks about making the choice to live as a disciple by the Spirit and not by the flesh daily.
Remember all we looked at in this teaching is the spiritual aspect of the Minstrel’s ministry and we saw that a minstrel must first be a Spiritual person led by the Spirit before being ‘Mic-holder’.
Let me share a personal experience which I hope will explain it properly.
I once asked the Lord, ‘Why do we have to carry our Cross on a daily basis in our walk with You?‘
He said, ‘So that at any point you switch from living and walking by the Spirit into the flesh; we’ll stop our journey, nail that aspect of your flesh that wants to find expression to the cross then continue the journey.”
I hope it’s clearer now?
Question:
How Can one get to this level in ministry as discussed in this teaching?
Answer:
There’s just one major way and that is by CONSISTENCY on the prayer altar.
No one has access into the depths of God immediately, but when he is consistent, God takes him deeper gradually.
The same applies to prayer. We all start in the flesh, with consistency we encounter the Spirit of Grace and supplication which empowers our prayer life.
When consistent, you are taken deeper and deeper.
We hope the answers provided here are helpful, even as you strive to be a perpetual seeker and pleaser of God.
We would love to hear from you in the comment section.
How helpful was this?
Regards.
