Founder, The Music Institute {TMI}
The Music Institute [TMI] is a Christian Community of musicians who are burdened to reach out to Christian Musicians across the world, providing resources to help them grow and stay relevant in God’s call for their lives.
We are concerned about dispensing the kingdom knowledge and values that make for the effective Music Ministry of the Christian Musician.
We train Christian Musicians on Music, Ministry, Leadership, and Christian Lifestyle, via our workshops and seminars, both physical and virtual (online).
We also provide resource materials in the form of videos, audios, books, etc.
Our resource materials cover four (4) main areas, which are our core areas;
Music
As much as music is an art, we believe there is a science involved in the form of elements and theories of music, etc.
Hence, the need to study and understand Music so we can become better musicians.
We are particular about the skillfulness of the Christian Musician (as we are about Spirituality). 1 Sam 16:18
We seek to eliminate the misconceptions surrounding the voice by bringing an understanding of the voice and how to overcome the vocal challenges that many Christian Musicians are familiar with.
Also, lots of Music resources ranging from song songwriting secrets to other topics that are beneficial to the Christian Musician.
Ministry
God is more interested in the heart of a man than his ministry because ministry flows from the heart.
This means, if the heart of the man (minister) is corrupt, his ministry will be corrupt and unproductive in the eyes of God.
Here, we will expose the things that hinder success in ministry.
We will deal with the matters that will help you become an effective music minister, and help you to have an effective music ministry.
Music that will affect not only the soul but also the spirit must carry the Life of God, as music alone (as powerful as it is), is not enough. We need the breath of God’s Spirit.
Redemption answers to nothing else but Life!
Leadership
God has called us to LEAD, and ultimately, we must learn to effectively lead OURSELVES as individuals, before we attempt to effectively lead the body of Christ in our communities, and/or bring the world to a standstill as they behold and experience the power and glory of the Father.
We believe that, if the gospel of Christ will reach our communities and the far ends of the earth, through our Music Ministry, we need to become mature believers who are not tossed aside by doctrines, etc. (Ephesians 4:13-14). Hence the need for solid Leadership.
We must become mature believers in Christ, who are under the leadership of the Spirit of God so that we can effectively use the tool of influence to build men, reshape mindsets, and redefine the Culture and Systems of the world.
We understand the power of influence, and that we can only lead effectively when we come under the leadership of the Spirit and mature into leaders, ourselves.
Lifestyle
We are particular about the term ‘Christian Musician’ over Musician.
This is because we believe (and want to emphasize) that we are first Christians before Musicians, and so our lives should first, be devoted to and led by God, rather than our music (craft).
This is shown in the way we live every day, – our worship of God, and we want to always have this in our hearts.
Also, we understand that the Christian Musician is not alienated from the battles that go on in the Heart (the battle of gods and idols) and in the Mind, and also the battles stirred up by the flesh. Gal 5:17-12.
We see these battles rising every day, so we want to provide help through God’s word, to overcome those secret habits and the challenges that reduce the quality of our life and worship of God, as Christian Musicians?
Our Vision and Mandate
The Music Institute [TMI] is a Christian Community tasked with the mandate to educate and empower the Christian Musician on matters surrounding Music, Ministry, Leadership, and Lifestyle, to show forth God’s Excellency and Glory to the world.
Our Mission
We are on a mission to build a community of Christian Musicians who are committed to bringing to fulfillment, God’s desires and intentions in the body of Christ, as well as in the world at large, through their Music Ministry.
We seek to achieve this by;
- Building a people for God, and equipping them for ministry, through His word. 1 Peter 2:5, Ephesians 4:12
- Reshaping the mindset of the people after the mind of Christ, for accuracy and productivity in ministry. Romans 12:2
- Redefining the Ideology, Culture, and Systems of the world after the System of the Kingdom of Christ. Isaiah 2:2
